Daltons Seeds is a family run business which manufactures seeds for agriculture. Originally the premises consisted of a large scale factory building and a small functional office building containing  administrative functions. The brief for the new building was to transform the existing premises into a flagship head office building, which would provide an attractive modern working environment for employees and could be used to entertain potential clients and showcase the business as a technically advanced Biotech company

The proposals retain the existing office building and convert them into functional ancillary spaces such as changing areas, staff kitchens and a staff gym. A major extension to the front of the building provides a new modern facade and laboratory accommodation. The extension is organised around a central top lit atrium space, from which both the office accommodation and laboratory wing can be viewed.  This is the ideal place to entertain potential clients as many of the business functions can be appreciated from a single space.
