About us

Dwell Architects is an award winning architectural practice based in Stamford Lincolnshire. We specialise in residential projects such as new build houses, house extensions and alterations, barn conversions, and housing developments.  

Our workload is focused around Stamford, Rutland, Peterborough and Leicestershire, although we also work nationally, having completed projects in Yorkshire, Cambridge and London.

We are a practice or RIBA chartered architects, and have over 20 years experience working on residential projects. 

Design Ethos

Every project we design is different. We spend time considering the opportunities and constraints of each site in order to produce the most appropriate design response. We like to design buildings which respect their environment whilst delivering the maximum benefit and value to our clients. We use a mix of traditional and modern materials and techniques which balance modern living and historic context.

Background

Dwell architects was founded by David Watts who has a background in residential and commercial design dating back to 1998. Prior to Dwell, David completed many large scale residential and commercial projects in Cambridge, London and Birmingham
